In the middle ages they had many clothes except for the serfs. The wealthy had many fancy clothes that they would wear a lot. The women when they would go out they would wear there make-up and jewelry. The men would wear there clothes they usually had on already if it was fancy enough. The serfs had only one outfit usually, but there outfits were worn out and dirty. The people who made the clothes were called the tailors. The tailors would lower the serfs clothes prices because they usually did not have enough money to pay for them. Three men in there normal clothes that they would wear out in public!!! The important people that have to do with middle ages clothing is the tailors. The tailors were very helpful because they made clothing for the people that lived in the country they were working in. Also the tailors would make a deal with you if you needed clothes and only had a little bit of money left from working.
There were many different facts about the middle ages clothes and they were that the women’s dresses would always flair out. It was mostly for the style and they would were them to special places. Another interesting fact would be that the guys usually would just wear a top and then a really nice coat. For the pants they would wear a tight kind of pants almost like tights or they would wear a really long coat that looked like a dress (as shown in the picture above). Also the black death impacted there style of clothing, the rich would always wear exspensive clothing, and other civilizations got ideas from there clothing. As well the people had there clothes made for them and they usually had many clothes except the serfs.
The clothes effected the life in the middle ages because when people came over to trade with there country they would get ideas of how to make there clothes so they would pass down there ideas to the other civilizations.Since the tailors made the clothes it was passed down from generation to generation to our generation so we learned how to make clothes for all of us to wear. So because of this we now how to make clothes and after us it will still be passed down to another generation.
